One Health and Development Initiative (OHDI) is a non-profit organization that works to address correlated issues of human, animal, and environmental health using the integrated “One Health” approach. Our mission is rooted in the evidence that public health and sustainable development issues are intertwined across the human, animal, and environmental ecosystems thereby requiring a holistic approach to effective and sustainable solutions. We are implementing a project to improve effective waste management practices and enhance the circular economy as a major contribution to sustainable One Health outcomes. In line with this, we are happy to announce that we are currently accepting applications and expression of interests from producers, vendors and professionals around the world who specialize in recycling waste products of different source materials to create everyday-use, lifestyle, fashion, art and related items. Our goal is to create a global platform for these vendors to showcase their products, enjoy broader visibility and opportunities for trade and sustainable income.
To apply, please ensure that you meet the following criteria:
- Your business must specialize in recycling waste to create everyday-use, lifestyle, fashion, art and related items
- Your products should be unique, innovative, and environmentally friendly
- Having a social media presence and/or website that showcases your products would be a great plus
- Producers, vendors and professionals who live in or originate from the global south are particularly encouraged to apply.
If you meet these criteria and are interested in joining our platform, complete this online form on or before 29th February 2024. Applications will be received on a rolling basis. Therefore, candidates are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
We will review all applications carefully and contact those who we believe would be a good fit for our platform. We are excited to work with vendors and producers who share our passion for ecosystem sustainability, One Health and social impact through their creativity, innovation, and social entrepreneurship.
