The Hen Welfare and Cage-free Advocacy project is working to implement holistic interventions and advocacy to promote an ethical, welfare-driven, safe and sustainable poultry farming sector in Nigeria. Key interventions and strategies to achieving this include implementing operational research, training of poultry farmers and veterinarians on implementing and adapting global best practices to local poultry farm settings, engaging in corporate campaigns to encourage the uptake ethically-produced and safe poultry products, consumer awareness and community engagement.
