Are you a prospective leader academically and practically in climate protection or climate-relevant resource conservation in your home country. Are you resident in a Non-European developing or transition country? Then Alexander Von Humboldt Foundation invites you to apply for the International Climate Protection Fellowship.
The fellowship selects about 15 Fellows and enables them to conduct a one-year research-based project in Germany focusing on combating climate change, on adaptation strategies, on preserving ecosystems and biodiversity, or on the sustainable use of the oceans and seas. Sustainability topics relating to natural resources, resource-efficient consumption, or urban development are also welcome.
Benefits
The fellowship enables a one-year research-based project in Germany focusing on combating climate change and facilitates the mutual exchange of knowledge, methods, and techniques with hosts in Germany. There is a monthly benefit ranging from €2170 to €2,670 for selected leaders and an opportunity to implement a 12-24-month project in Germany. Individual support during your stay in Germany will also be provided
Eligibility
- Applicants must be a citizen of a Non-European developing or transition country and have been predominantly living and working there.
- Applicants must be prospective leaders with professional experience, that have a good knowledge of English and/or German, and initial experience in a leadership role and corresponding leadership skills
