International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) and the Ethiopian Veterinary Association (EVA) seeks to recruit a consultant to advise on the structure of a Continued Professional Development program for veterinary professionals in Ethiopia taking into account local context and needs and outline the strategy to implement the structure. The consultant(s) will work through the Health of Ethiopian Animals for Rural Development (HEARD), a European Union-funded project which works to sustainably increase livestock productivity and improve the marketing of livestock products.
Essential skills and qualifications
- Master’s degree in veterinary medicine or a related subject
- 8-10 years in veterinary medicine and veterinary service delivery experience and proved track record on CPD in the veterinary sector
- Good understanding of LMICs context
Post location: Ethiopia and remotely (or fully remotely depending on Covid-19 travel restrictions)
Duration: July 2020 to February 2021 with a maximum of 36 working days
