Antibiotics are essential resources for human and animal health today. However, with increasing abuse and misuse by both human and animal health practitioners, antibiotics resistance is occurring and has now become one of the biggest problems facing humanity and life itself today. It has become a global public health emergency that must continue to be addressed for continued guaranteed safety of humans, animals and the ecosystem as a whole.
To this effect, a one-day seminar is being organized to educate and promote knowledge on Antibiotic/Antimicrobial Resistance with a specific focus on poultry farming. Due to the close relationship between poultry farming and food security and food quality in humans, especially in the context of antibiotic resistance, the seminar would welcome the presence of not only poultry farmers but also professionals in public health, food security, food quality and of course veterinarians.
