The Leaders of Africa Institute invites researchers, faculty, practitioners, and advocates to apply for its flagship Research Communication Program (RCP). Effective communication of research findings is crucial to driving impactful change in today’s complex world. This live virtual programme equips participants with essential skills in writing research briefs, crafting policy memos, engaging with media, and presenting complex information in an accessible and compelling manner. The programme runs from November to December 2024 and is open to all disciplines, with continuing mentorship.
Scholars will learn various valuable communication techniques, including audience analysis, storytelling, policy communication, and media engagement. Participants will also learn to use software tools such as Canva, Wix, and WordPress to enhance their research profiles and reach diverse stakeholders. The programme’s interactive sessions ensure that researchers can effectively communicate their work to academic peers, policymakers, and the public, maximising their research’s societal impact.
