GiveDirectly (GD) is seeking a Safeguarding Associate to support and enhance its safeguarding systems across multiple countries and projects. This remote role, which requires at least 4 hours of overlap with East Africa time zones, is ideal for candidates with experience in safeguarding or protection and a strong commitment to GD’s mission of providing cash grants to those in extreme poverty.
The Safeguarding Associate will work closely with the Safeguarding Director, managing project pipelines, leading improvement initiatives, and providing flexible support to country programs. Responsibilities include case management, conducting training sessions, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks. This position requires exceptional project management skills, problem-solving abilities, and a willingness to travel periodically for team events.
