We are excited to present our 2024 Annual Report, highlighting another year of impactful effort promoting human, animal, and ecosystem health through the integrated One Health approach. In 2024, we expanded our impact across zoonotic disease response, animal welfare, antimicrobial resistance (AMR) mitigation, wildlife conservation, sustainable food systems, and environmental protection.
This year, we made significant strides in animal welfare, expanding our Hen Welfare & Cage-Free Advocacy project to seven more states and launching the Animal Welfare Courses (AWC) platform to provide structured online training on global animal welfare standards. Our commitment to public health and global health security was evident in our anthrax outbreak response, as well as in our advocacy for AMR through the African Youths for AMR Communication Project. Our engagement in climate-smart food systems through the Alternative Proteins Africa (APA) initiative promoted sustainable food systems.
Additionally, we facilitated wildlife and environmental conservation through initiatives like pangolin conservation awareness programs at schools and communities and circular waste interventions through baseline research. We were also committed to fostering global engagement and One Health movement-building through various initiatives
With the support of our partners, we directly impacted over 27,000 persons across Nigeria, Cameroon, and Tanzania, trained over 544 professionals across 13 countries, and reached 8 million people worldwide through advocacy, capacity-building, and research-driven interventions.
