OHDI Publishes Its 2025 Annual Report

OHDI 2025 Annual Report

We are pleased to announce the publication of the One Health and Development Initiative (OHDI) 2025 Annual Report, marking a significant milestone for the organization and the close of our first strategic cycle (2021–2025).

The 2025 Annual Report is more than a record of activities from the past year, it is a reflection on five years of learning, growth, and impact across human, animal, plant, and environmental health systems. As the final year of our 2021–2025 Strategic Plan, 2025 provided an opportunity to consolidate achievements, assess what worked, and lay a strong foundation for the next phase of our journey.

What the Report Covers

The report highlights OHDI’s cumulative impact from 2021 to 2025, including:

  • Community-based interventions that strengthened health, food systems, and environmental stewardship
  • Youth-led and community-driven action on antimicrobial resistance, zoonoses, and One Health education
  • Policy engagement and technical contributions at national, regional, and global levels
  • Research and evidence generation to inform sustainable One Health solutions
  • The development and piloting of digital and AI-enabled tools such as RORE and other One Health platforms
  • Strategic partnerships and collaborations across governments, academia, civil society, and the private sector

It also documents how OHDI has evolved, from piloting innovative ideas to scaling multi-country programs and building systems-level solutions, while remaining grounded in community ownership, equity, and accountability.

Looking Ahead

The Annual Report also looks forward, outlining how insights from the 2021–2025 period are shaping OHDI’s next Strategic Plan (2026–2030). This next phase will focus on scaling proven models, strengthening digital and operational systems, deepening policy impact, and advancing sustainable financing through diversified funding and social enterprise approaches.

Why This Matters

At a time when health, climate, food systems, and environmental challenges are increasingly interconnected, the report underscores the importance of integrated, evidence-driven, and locally grounded One Health action. It reflects our belief that lasting impact requires strong partnerships, youth leadership, digital innovation that complements offline engagement, and long-term sustainability built into program design from the start.
