One Health and Development Initiative (OHDI) is happy to organize a Webinar to commemorate the 2022 One Health Awareness Month and engage University and College students on practical One Health community-building and action.
January is a month set aside globally for creating awareness on One Health – a collaborative, multisectoral, and trans-disciplinary approach — working at the local, regional, national, and global levels, with the goal of achieving optimal health outcomes recognizing the interconnection between people, animals, plants, and their shared environment. This awareness brings public attention to the need for a One Health approach to address shared health threats at the human-animal-environment interface.
At OHDI, an organization dedicated to promoting One Health approaches, we are utilizing the opportunity this presents to sensitize students on the practical implementation and promotion of One Health – even while in their respective Universities and Colleges. Hence, the theme of the webinar – “Promoting Students’ Action for One Health”
We hereby invite all University and College students interested in practical One Health learning, engagement, mentorship, advocacy, and related activities to attend the Webinar scheduled for January 29, 2022, at 4:00 pm (WAT). You will also have the opportunity to engage with and learn from invited experienced and young One Health professionals who are from relevant sectors including Human Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Pharmacy, and Microbiology.
These include the event Host – Dr. Kikiope Oluwarore and moderators Dr. Idris Ola, Iyiola Oladunjoye, Dr. Oluoma Agiri, and Pharm. Chiamaka Jibuaku.
