The Global Disaster Preparedness Center (GDPC) is pleased to announce the call for applications for its Small Research Grants Program, focusing on climate resilience in urban areas. This programme supports original research in low- and middle-income countries to build resilient urban environments in the face of climate change. Grants of up to $10,000 USD are available for projects lasting up to eight months, with a completion deadline of 30th September 2025.
Eligible applicants include university researchers, post-doctoral scholars, and students from accredited institutions with a focus on research that informs policy, planning, and humanitarian action. Proposals must align with one of the programme’s key research topics, including community-led climate adaptation, socio-economic drivers of resilience, and urban ecosystem solutions. Successful applicants will be notified by early 2025, with projects commencing in February.
