African Wildlife Foundation has opened applications for Top 100 Young African Conservation Leaders, to recognize the efforts made by youth activists in Africa who are working to protect and restore outstanding African biodiversity. The organization seeks to celebrate and recognize the efforts made by the young men and women in conserving Africa’s biodiversity. The selected leaders will share their conservation success stories with African Wildlife Foundation, World Wildlife Foundation, World Organization of the Scout Movement, Africa, and the Africa Alliance of YMCAs to inspire and tell the world how African youth are shifting from business as usual and are taking action to protect African ecosystems and the people who depend on them.

By elevating their profiles, the consortium will enable them to share their experiences in conservation with new audiences and rally more African youth to take up active roles in ensuring nature thrives for generations to come.
Eligibility
Applicants must be of African nationality, actively involved in conservation work in Africa over the last three years, demonstrate verifiable impact of their work at community, national and international level, and not more than 35 years old on their next birthday.
