CARB-X is offering funding across four key themes to combat antimicrobial resistance (AMR):

1. Therapeutics for Gram-Negative Pathogens: Seeking new treatments targeting drug-resistant gram-negative bacteria.
2. Prevention of Invasive Diseases: Innovations to prevent the spread and development of severe infections.
3. Diagnostics for Neonatal Sepsis: Advanced, rapid diagnostics for early detection of sepsis in newborns.
4. Alternative Sample Types for Lower-Respiratory-Tract Infections: Proof-of-concept studies for innovative sample types to improve diagnostic accuracy.
