One Health and Development Initiative (OHDI) is happy to collaborate with One Health Lessons (OHL), University of Alaska – Fairbanks (UAF), and EarthDay.org on the second annual Global Art and Music Competition!
Interested applicants are invited to showcase their artistic abilities by creating an original piece of art or music that reflects their impression and appreciation of biodiversity through the Contest! Some examples of submissions could be paintings, photographs, poems, songs, chamber music, creative writing, short films, musical theatre, drama and more. The only limitation is your imagination. It is time to get creative!
WHAT IS BIODIVERSITY?
Biodiversity is a term used to describe the enormous variety of life on Earth. It can be used more specifically to refer to all of the species in one region or ecosystem. Biodiversity refers to every living thing, including plants, bacteria, animals, and humans. A good question to ask yourself specifically for this contest is: why is biodiversity important for human and ecosystem health?
