About the OHA Program
The One Health Ambassadors (OHA) program empowers motivated Nigerian undergraduates to promote the One Health approach, engaging in OHDI-led community engagement activities and the integration of innovative digital platforms. Ambassadors will engage their peers, promote awareness, drive platform usage, and lead One Health activities within their campuses.
Who Can Apply?
We are seeking 5 ambassadors from each participating Nigerian university representing diverse disciplines:
- Human health and medicine
- Animal health and veterinary sciences
- Crop agriculture and plant sciences
- Environmental sciences
- Social sciences and related fields
Eligibility Criteria:
- Priority will be given to undergraduates from the following Nigerian universities:
- Enugu State University of Science and Technology
- Kwara State University
- Rivers State University
- University of Ibadan
- University of Lagos
- University of Maiduguri
- Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto
- Passionate about One Health and thematic areas such as public health, environmental sustainability, agriculture, technology, or social development
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Willingness to engage peers and promote digital solutions
- Able to commit 3–5 hours per week for program activities

Ambassador Responsibilities
- Collaborate with fellow ambassadors to lead or support One Health education and outreach activities within their universities and surrounding communities, including identifying opportunities for such activities.
- Promote digital platforms and onboard users
- Develop or contribute to articles, blogs, social media content, and storytelling initiatives that highlight local issues, success stories, and user engagement of OH digital solutions and program activities.
- Participate in ongoing training offered by OHDI
- Submit monthly performance reports
